Your first ten minutes with the WorkPro connector

Connect it, ask it something real, and put it on a schedule. Three parts, no training required.

The WorkPro connector went live on August 12 for Bigge Claude users. If you have ever built a filtered, grouped, sorted WorkPro view and then screenshotted it to make a point, this recipe is for you. Three parts, about ten minutes, Claude only for now because that is where the connector is installed.

Part one: connect it

  1. Open Claude and go to the capabilities menu.
  2. Find WorkPro in the list and hit Connect.
  3. Sign in with your WorkPro credentials. Your access through the connector matches your access in WorkPro, nothing more.
  4. That is it. You do this once.

Part two: ask it something real

Ask in plain language and name real things: an equipment number, a branch, a status. Start with a question you currently answer by clicking through screens.

  1. Show me my open service orders, oldest first.
  2. Which units at my branch are on rent right now?
  3. Pull up this equipment number and show me its current status.

The connector is read only and the functionality is a starter set, so some questions will come back with an honest cannot-answer-that-yet. Send those to the AI General channel. Real questions from real work are how the starter set grows.

Part three: make it a morning brief

  1. Take the one question you would ask every single morning.
  2. Set it up as a scheduled task in Claude for weekday mornings.
  3. The answer is waiting before your first meeting, pulled live, with nobody screenshotting anything.

One more thing about this section. When a Field Kit recipe proves repeatable enough, it graduates into a skill and shows up installed in your account, the way Automation Scout did. Run this one, and tell us what should graduate next.
